The car competed for seven seasons from 1989 to 1995, winning the 1992 and 1994 IMSA GT Championships; the cars were so dominant that IMSA banned the twin-turbo V6s for 1995, forcing Clayton Cunningham Racing to switch their cars to using V8s. Following an accident involving driver Steve Millen, the program was canceled; some of the chassis would later race in Japan in the All Japan Grand Touring Car Championship. Seven chassis were built in total.
