The City Turbo's performance credentials were so undeniable that Honda and Mugen Motorsports created an entire one-make racing series in its honour — the Honda City Turbo Cup 🏆. Race-spec cars received extreme aerodynamics, an aggressive bodykit, and a modified engine pushing 138 horsepower. Tragically, most of the surviving race cars were allegedly destroyed in the Great Hanshin earthquake before they could be shipped to Australia 😢 — making the sole surviving example, preserved at the Honda Collection Hall in Suzuka, one of the most poignant relics in motorsport history.
